Lighting the lives of the blind....
How will it be if a stranger barges into the house of a family who are mourning the death of a beloved one, and places a strange request in the hour of grief?
A unique practice is followed by a Coimbatore based gentleman, Mr. S B Jagatheswaran, aged 53 years for the past two decades. When he learns of a death in his neighborhood, he immediately walks into that house and requests and motivates the relatives of the deceased to donate his or her eyes.
It is difficult to do this as a stranger on such a grief filled occasion. But he has been able to motivate 382 persons so far, but not without struggle and difficulties. He had even been beaten, slapped and lost a few teeth in the process. But he is determined to realize his 'dream' of seeing a Nation without blind people.
Let us wish this gentleman the very best in his service towards our fellow beings who are in darkness, longing to see light.....
Happiness lies within you...
