This is about saving ONE life with....ONE rupee!! Incredible? But this is a fact. Please read on....
Mr. Kaja Moideen is a gentleman from Coimbatore. Some time back, his younger brother fell into a coma and he needed money to save him. His friends helped him with whatever little amount they could afford and his brother was saved.
Sometimes the amounts were so small that his friends used to place their donations beneath his brother's pillows. This made Mr. Kaja Moideen think about the despair and plight of similar patients and their relatives. He decided to help them in a novel way.
He started visiting colleges and asked the students to contribute JUST A RUPEE each to help funding operations of the poor. He did not collect the amount immediately but only took the pledge of the students to give only when he visits them just before the requirement. It was not an easy task.
By collecting Rs65,000 from 65,000 students, he helped funding the heart of of a small boy(about 5 years). Likewise this noble minded and empathetic gentleman has helped in aiding nearly 600 to 1000 operations of the poor.He along with the small boy was featured in the program called Makkal Arangam conducted by 'Visu' on Jaya TV last week.
This news shows that one need not be monetarily rich but should be rich in one's heart, mind and soul to help the needy. If you have the will to help the poor, there will be ways open to you.....
May the gentlemen and all those who helped him be blessed always.....
Happiness lies within you...
